Amsterdam, 20 April 2020<\/b>: CPhI & P-MEC China 2020, the landmark 20th<\/sup> anniversary edition of China’s largest pharma exhibition, will now take place on 16-18 December 2020<\/strong><\/span> at SNIEC in Shanghai [rescheduled from June 22-24, 2020].<\/p>\n\n

The organizers secured the new date at the request of exhibitors to \nensure the event’s very strong international profile. A quarter of CPhI \n& P-MEC China’s attendees come from international markets, and its \nglobal audience is a key component to many companies’strategies in the \nregion.<\/p>\n\n

 <\/p>\n\n

The new date will provide greater access to international audiences, \nas at present, strict travel restrictions remain in place for all \nintentional visitors to China in response to COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cBy moving the event to a December date, we provide far greater \nflexibility and planning time for international executives. CPhI & \nP-MEC China has grown massively in the last few years and it remains the\n only truly international pharma ingredients and supply chain event in \nChina, with more than 20,300 visits from overseas attendees. Rather than\n host a predominately local event, we decided to respond to the needs of\n our clients and partners, moving to a time when the event’s unique \ninternational pedigree can be better maintained,\u201d commented Orhan \nCaglayan, Brand Director Pharma Portfolio at Informa Markets.<\/p>\n\n

Apart from the offline exhibition in December, a seven-day online \nmodel of the exhibition is scheduled to be held during 18-24 June to \nbreak the physical restrictions and facilitate unlimited connections \namong global pharmaceutical companies.<\/p>\n\n

The organizers continue to listen to exhibitor feedback and are \nmonitoring the global situation extremely closely in order to keep the \nindustry informed. Caglayan added,  \u201cIt’s our absolute priority to \nfollow government advice globally and deliver safe and successful \nevents. But we also want to take a proactive approach so that we can \nensure the integrity and quality of the platforms we provide for both \nexhibitors and visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
